Assisted Living Program
The Assisted Living Program (ALP) is an Adult Home that is certified by the New York State Department of Health to provide Medicaid-funded home care services. The ALP is an alternative to nursing home care that enables nursing home eligible people to receive home health care services in the Adult Home, delaying or preventing the need for admission to a nursing home. Care services are provided by an on-site licensed home care agency operated by the Adult Home and a community certified home health agency (CHHA) under contract.
This enables residents to maintain an independent lifestyle while having the care necessary to help them in carrying on their lives in a dignified manner. At Westchester Center for Independent & Assisted Living, in addition to the many amenities we offer, we provide an array of services including but not limited to: help with activities of daily living such as dressing & bathing, medication management, laundry & housekeeping, recreational activities, case management services as well as providing three daily meals of chef inspired cuisine, along with our 24 hour Country Kitchen. In addition, service is provided for those scheduling appointments, doctor visits or any other means of transportation. Each resident is provided the services required to ensure that they are receiving optimal care while maintaining their own independence. At Westchester Center we take pride in being part of the Assisted Living Program (ALP) and proudly accept Medicare and Medicaid recipients.
